Get to Know Lindsey McElligott, DMD

As a mother, Dr. McElligott has endless experience when it comes to the troubles of a painful latch, gassy babies, sleepless nights, constant spit-up, and much more. She also knows how much untreated lip and tongue-tie can exacerbate these issues. That’s why she is dedicated to helping patients of all ages, from infants to adults and everyone in-between overcome this chronic, often underdiagnosed issue at Northeast Lip & Tongue-Tie Center.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Dr. McElligott’s college career started at Wellesley College in the Northeast, where she graduated in 2003 with a degree in neuroscience. She then pursued her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned the Tufts Merit Scholarship and was recognized on the Dean’s Honor Roll. Today, she is an active member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association, and SPEAR Education.

What Advanced Training Do You Have in Lip & Tongue-Tie Treatment?

Ever since she can remember, Dr. McElligott has had a passion for treating young children, which led her to develop a keen interest in lip and tongue-tie treatment. She is a proud graduate of the Tongue-Tied Academy and has extensively trained under the tutelage of Dr. Richard Baxter, who is an internationally renowned expert in the laser release of lip and tongue-ties. Today, she utilizes the very same technology to help patients of all ages live healthier, happier lives.

Outside of the Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. McElligott currently resides in Dover with her husband, their three children, and their dogs! Her favorite hobbies include running and cooking.
